Homework
KS5 homework consists of three parts, which are compulsory for all students.
Part One: Knowledge organisers:
Students receive a knowledge organiser, which details the most powerful knowledge for all their subjects. Students practise flip and fletch, to aid recall and are then tested via a knowledge quiz at the start of one of their lessons. This testing takes place once a fortnight, for each subject. The only exception to this is A Level Mathematics.
Part Two: Revision Techniques:
During tutor time, students are taught how to practise a variety of useful revision techniques. Students then practise this technique when revising for their subjects and their engagement is checked by their tutor on a fortnightly cycle.
Part Three: Subject specific homework:
Each subject may also set students specific work, based on what they are currently learning. This may include exam questions, extended writing, note taking, pre-reading or portfolio work.
